This is the newest addition to my hanger. It is my first plans built plane and is known as a 3DX. It is a 3D electric park flyer type of plane, and this photo captures it in flight at the local schoolyard. The plane has a 37" wingspan, and weighs 12.5 oz. without battery. Power is provided by a HiMaxx 2812-850 outrunner brushless motor, a Castle Creations Phoenix 25 ESC, and a Thunder Power Pro-Lite 2000 mAh 11.1 volt LiPo battery. This plane will go straight up through most of the pack. I get about 15 minutes of very spirited flying with this setup. Thanks to my son Kevin for taking the picture.

This was my first complete kit building project since 1988. It is a slightly modified Sig Four Star 40 which I finished in the spring of 2004. The wings were clipped one bay on each side, and rounded wing tips were added. Power is an OS .46 FX, which makes this plane very fast.

This is the latest addition to my hanger, a Great Planes Ultra Sport 40. An auction acquisition originally built by fellow TCRC club member John Dietz, this plane is a very fast and smooth flyer. Engine is an ASP .46.

This Hanger 9 Ultra Stick .40 is currently the only ARF in my hanger, and if I crashed it, I would buy another one straight away. I currently fly this plane more than all my other planes combined. It is powered by a Magnum XLS .46 with a 12.25 X 3.75 APC prop. Great fun!

This was the first plane of my second go around of RC flying. I finished rebuilding this Goldberg Eagle 63 in the spring of 2001, and started flying later that summer. This plane was originally my dad's, but he decided he would never try to fly it again, so he gave it to me in the winter of 2000.

One of my favorite Warbirds is the German Messerschmitt Me 109. I picked this plane up off of an e-bay auction from a guy down in Owatonna, MN. This sport scale Midwest Me 109 looks enough like the real thing to make you almost believe that a fast low pass is a German Luftwaffe pilot on a straffing run. Power is an OS .46 FX. It has fixed landing gear, and is finished in North Africa camo colors.
NOTE: I sold this plane this past spring of '06 to make room in my hanger for my growing fleet of electric planes. Soon to include a couple of electric 109's... Stay tuned!

This was my first glow powered plane. It was 1971, and I was 8. It was a Guillows control line model powered by an OS .099 engine. I wish I could say that I built it, but I can't. My dad was the one responsible. He had flown free flight and control line models as a kid and was eager to share the hobby with his sons.
