Club Info Twin Cities Radio Controllers is a family oriented club with many family activities. We are chartered club #383 with the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). We host 2 float fly events each year (May and September) on Bush Lake in Bloomington, MN as well as several low pressure fun fly events for members. The Model Flying Air Park consists of 40 acres of membership owned property zoned aviation/recreation by the county. There is an alternate flying site at the Scott County Fairgrounds. The flying field has 2 intersecting graded and asphalt paved runways that are 300' by 40' each. There is an extra 100' deep mowed grass overrun with one grass runway. The wind is always blowing down one of the runways! Click here for directions to the field. 2010 Membership options:
In 2007 the members of TCRC voted to eliminate the Social category of membership. A newsletter only option is still available to anyone who would like to keep up with the activities of the Twin City Radio Controllers. This option costs $30 and includes the mailing of the monthly newsletter and a copy of the annual membership roster to your home address. There are no flying or voting privileges and you will not be included in the club roster with this option. Please note that anybody can view the newsletters free by downloading them from the Newsletter section of the website. Membership meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 7pm to 9:30pm. We are currently holding our meetings at CrossPoint Church in Bloomington, MN. CrossPoint Church is located on the corner of 98th Street and France Avenue. See the following link for details. The meeting format is first the introduction of new members and guests followed by Show and Tell where anyone can show off their projects. Then we have a great educational program put on by a member or guest business. A short business meeting follows if there is time. |
