TCRC Frequently Asked Questions
How can I find out more about the club ?Go to the Club Info page on this website or contact one of the officers Back to TopCan I see the flying field ?Absolutely. Guests are welcome to come to the field as long as there are members present. Check out the calendar of events and join us for one of them! Back to TopHow do I join ?The Membership application can be printed by clicking here. It is an Adobe document so you have to have the free Adobe viewer to see it. If you don't have the viewer, go to the Newsletters page and click on the link there to get it. Submit the application to a club officer, this can be done at one of the monthly meetings. Note that membership in the AMA is a requirement for membership in TCRC. Back to TopI'm new to the hobby. How do I learn ?It is best to learn from people who have been in the hobby for a long time. The club has many members who are happy to share their knowledge. If you need flight instruction we can hook you up with an instructor from the club as well. Hobby stores and the people that work there are also happy to help with your questions. Back to TopIt gets so cold in Minnesota. Is it possible to fly in the winter ?Absolutely! The club has many members who annually are members of the "All Season Flyers." These members fly at least once in every month of the year. In 2001, 13 members achieved this distinction. Back to TopWhere can I buy R/C gear ?There are a few hobby stores locally. Sky Hobby in Richfield has consistently been a supporter of the club. Give Jeremy Steinmueller a call at (612) 861-5587.
